University Accreditation

Washington University in St. Louis has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) since 1913.

Accreditation ensures Washington University’s compliance with all rules and requirements issued by the HLC/NCA concerning changes of and additions to WUSTL’s academic programs.

We were last reaccredited in 2004. From September 22-24, 2014, WUSTL underwent an on-site evaluation visit by a team of trained peer reviewers assigned by the HLC. To learn more about WUSTL’s 2014 reaccreditation, please visit the reaccreditation website.
