Freshmen settle in
Efforts by upperclassmen, faculty and staff to welcome approximately 1,640 members of the Class of 2016 have helped make the adjustment to college life easier. These freshmen—about half female and half male—came from across the nation and 26 other countries to take up residence on the South 40.

Olin Library turns 50
The John M. Olin Library, which first opened its doors in 1962, continues to be a hub of campus activity and intellectual inquiry. Students, faculty, staff and other community members made nearly 800,000 visits last year. This year they can visit during new extended hours.
