Calendar Help

The events listed in the calendar include performances, seminars, films, athletic events, conferences, and more.

You can click on This Week to see a list of all events scheduled between today and next Saturday. Clicking on Next Week will show a list of all events scheduled for next Sunday through the following Saturday.

A one month daily calendar allows you to view a full description of all events taking place on the selected day.

A search input form allows you to search by category, date range, keywords, or any combination of the three.

The School Calendars section provides you with links to the calendars that are maintained by the individual schools.

Accessing the Campus Calendar

The campus calendar can be accessed from the Washington University home page by clicking on "Other Useful Links," then "Calendar" under the Find heading, or you can go directly to the calendar location by typing in the URL http://calendar.wustl.edu.

The One Month Daily Calendar

The one month daily calendar can be seen in the form of a regular monthly calendar, provided that the navigator you are using will support tables. It is defaulted to the current month, but you can select any month you wish to view by simply clicking on the 3-letter month abbreviation found below the calendar.

You can view all events that are currently posted for a specific day by clicking on the day you wish to view on the calendar.

All of the information for the events including the date, title, start and end time, description, location, and the contact name and phone number are shown so you can select print to print out a daily calendar of events.

The Search Input Form

The search input form was designed to allow you to view a list of only the events that meet your specific criteria.

By Category
The Category section of the input form allows you to select what type of events you want to know about. You can choose one or as many categories as you like. The calendar is defaulted to show all categories if none have been selected.

By Keyword
The Keyword search allows you to search out one or more specific events by inputting a specific word that you are looking for. The calendar will search for any event that contains that word in the event's title, date, time, description, contact's name or phone number, or anywhere else in the event information.

By Dates
The date option allows you to view events that fall within your specified date range. The start date and stop date should be input in the format MM/DD/YY. The calendar will search out the events that fall between the two dates specified.

When you are done specifying your search criteria, click on the "Submit Search" button. By default, your event information will come up in list format. If you want your event information to contain more information than just a list, press the button labeled "full description" prior to submitting your search.

If you do not click on "full description" you can still view additional information on individual events in a list by clicking on the underscored title.

The School Calendars

The school calendars section is simply a list of hot links that lead to the calendars that are maintained by the individual schools.

The events and/or classes listed on these individual calendars could potentially differ from those shown on the Washington University Campus Events Calendar.
