The Eisendrath Garden was dedicated in memory of Erna Eisendrath. The garden is located next to the Goldfarb Plant Growth Facility. In the garden there is a memorial to Erna Eisendrath.
Dr. Erna Eisendrath was a professor of botany at Washington University. During her classes a number of plant species were discovered that had previously not been known. In response to these findings a group known as the Tyson Toilers was founded to discover and catalogue the new species. Erna Eisendrath died in 1984.
