ENERGY STAR is a labeling program that is a joint effort between the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy that marks products, construction and strategies for energy efficiency for business and home. ENERGY STAR products save 20 to 30 percent over their comparable products.
