Solid waste

Solid waste, also known as municipal solid waste, is any discarded materials, which could be solid, liquid, and semi-solid or contained gases. Solid waste does not include industrial, hazardous or construction and demolition waste. Examples of solid waste include waste tires, toys, yard scraps, plastics, metals and papers.
