The Woman's Club of Washington University

NUMBER SIXTY-FOUR
NINETY-EIGHTH YEAR
2008-2009

The Woman's Club was organized in 1910 by a group of faculty wives from the Medical School and the Danforth Campus, to stimulate friendship among the wives of the different schools.

The purpose of the Club is to encourage friendships, to increase opportunities for meeting people, to create a forum for growth and stimulation, to encourage an awareness of our surroundings, and to be a "family" to members in need. It is committed to service to the Washington University community.

The Club achieves its purposes through social events, interest sections, annual lectures, campus tours, and International Women programs. The Club sponsors the Fall Lecture, University Night, the Spring and Fall Luncheons, a Guest Tea to welcome new members, and Not Just Lunch with programs. It also gives scholarships to deserving women on campus.

The membership consists of wives and widows of faculty, administration, and staff, women who are faculty, administration and staff, alumnae or spouses of alumni of Washington University, or women sponsored by members of the Club.

New memberships and donations to the Woman's Club are welcome. Please use the forms elsewhere in the site. Also, please see the new change of address form. Thank You.
